Description
Bed
High-quality cast iron is used in manufacturing machine beds operating under heavy conditions, providing a solid foundation and withstanding heavy operational loads. KEODO SEIKI machine beds are designed using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
All beds are reinforced with ribs to ensure maximum torsional rigidity, prevent deflection under heavy conditions, and maintain optimal chip clearance. The castings undergo an aging process to ensure high stability over a long period.
The guideways have a large cross-section to provide high rigidity and damping properties. Mating surfaces are precisely hand-scraped for maximum assembly accuracy, rigidity, and uniform load distribution.
Spindle
The spindle headstock has a thermo-symmetric structure and is equipped with reinforcement ribs that resist and significantly reduce deformation caused by heat generated in the spindle. The large-diameter spindle is preloaded to ensure high rigidity and hermetically sealed in the headstock housing to prevent moisture and dust exposure, requiring no maintenance.
Turret
Various tooling options are available to increase versatility, such as BMT disc-type turrets. The turrets feature high rigidity, efficiency, and positioning accuracy. The ability to rotate tools in both axial and radial directions enables active performance of complex machining operations such as drilling, thread cutting, slot machining, and contour machining.
Sub-spindle
The additional spindle is essential for the machine to implement rapid workpiece transfer and both-side machining in a single setup.
Tailstock
The quill has high strength for load bearing and maintains high stability during heavy metal removal. The tailstock quill is operated by manual or hydraulic drive (optional) for easy and secure workpiece clamping. Automatic tailstock body movement is available as an option for easy setup and operation.
CNC System
The latest FANUC CNC control system is equipped with advanced and powerful functionality. In addition to ISO code programming, operator-friendly programming with an intuitive interface can be performed using additional software, i.e., Manual Guide 0i&i. This helps the operator generate part programs quickly and efficiently using powerful and comprehensive graphics packages.
